With a strategy based on getting the word out organically before targeting potential advertisers, in 2 ½ years, girlawhirl.com has become a profitable enterprise with five full-time editors, fact-checkers and advertising sales representatives, and today attracts both big name advertisers and 350,000 readers per month (and growing!).
